received a semi-grail of mine the other day - a vintage royals starter jacket

anybody have any tips for how to go about washing it?

or, preferably, is there a type of "specialist" or somebody i could bring it to to have "professionally" washed (sounds excessive, i know, but i don't wanna risk my dumb ass ruining it)? like, does that kind of a service exist at all?

After I ordered my new Hume linen shirt from Rosen, I saw that they still had this interesting Kantian patchwork linen jacket in the sample sale (which is still really worth checking out):

It just arrived this week (along with the excellent shirt) and it's even nicer than I was expecting. The thing about Rosen stuff is that it doesn't just look good, it's actually better made than almost any compable western brand (as well as being exceptional value). The detail on this piece is phenomenal and it's really quite subtle, although it may not appear to be that way in the picture.

the short sleeves/700+ euro combination seemed a bit brutal, but who knows, might still change my mind. Desperately need a completely waterproof coat regardless.

Agreed. Started with a pair of Bulldogs 10 years ago. Next pair was Setter; then got two pairs of Springer this year.

Damn the springer just straight up booty shorts. I could probably do setters but springer is a lot

The raincho sleeves don't really seem short to me. It probably depends on what size you get. I think the oversized nature of the coat means you can size up or down quite a lot

Yeah I’d be curious to know how people sized if they bought the raincho. Based on the Norwegian Rain suggestion I’d be a Large, but it seems like there’s be more to it than simply how tall you are.

The Large on the Raincho is for people over 185 cm, im 193 cm, which suggested the sleeves would be on the shorter side for me at least. Could be fine, but probably not for biking. I'll try to check it out in store.

I don't get the hype. It doesn't look that fantastic.
