Jacket Style: Half-lined sportcoat, 3-button-rolled-to-2nd, open patch pockets, medium-to-high gorge Fabric: 100% linen from Zegna Spring/Summer 2005 Weight: light to medium-light Tailor: W. W. Chan & Sons Price: approx. US$1,100 Comment: Fits well. Needs improvement on lapel's/gorge's height/design and button stance. We each give 50% on styling. There were about 3 fittings in total as the sleeves were a bit difficult to tailor (due to slight deformity on my shoulders). Back balance is good, and the overall silhouette is good. A bit of restriction at the armhole and the shoulder feels a bit heavy, but expected to loosen up with a bit of wear.

This is the nicest item I have ever seen from WW Chan.

Amazing jacket and a great fit.

Button stance seems a bit high.  Lapel gorge could open up a bit IMHO.
Exactly what I had in mind. Sometimes it's a bit difficult to envision them during fittings, even though I had numerous. The next one would be much better, I think.

where you located naturlaut?
I am in Hong Kong now, so going to Chan's fitting is just a train's ride away.

I like the open front quarters. It's not something that I see much of in Chan's jackets including the ones they've made for me. I do think you need a lower button stance to balance the the open quarters, though. The top button doesn't seem to work as the fulcrum of the jacket under those conditions. I do think the fit looks very good.

BTW, how did you find their work on the half-lined jacket? I'm considering having them make me a quarter-lined linen jacket, but I'm not sure how comfortable they are with that kind of work.
