Thanks for all the comments - I've just been looking at some of the suggested brands and really like the common projects. Also Uniqlo don't stock jeans in a 28" waist, but I've ordered a pair of APC petit standards. Should I look for any other specific brands if they don't work out?

I pretty much have all Epaulet/WvG with a couple Uniqlo beaters. Kamakura looks very promising according to various reviews on PTO/the CM side of things/etc.

Uniqlo slim fits are great, and they go on sale semi-regularly. Decent construction, and shorter length than most other brands which is great for wearing untucked

WvG?

Epaulet only has 2 colors and none in my size, the Kamakura looks like a bargain.

I have been looking at The Bureau's house label, but the quality and fit is an unknown.

Yeah, WvG:

White oxford
Other shirts

I have the white Japanese oxford and its blue counterpart. Feels like the same thick, beefy oxford cloth as my Thom Browne oxford, and since I'm part of the loyalty program, I got both shirts for less than what I paid for the Thom Browne.

Honestly it just depends on your style or what you feel you can comfortably wear or can see yourself in. Here's a couple theads that might be good checking out.

I'm a student that has saved up nearly £5000 to spend on new clothes, but I'm slightly nervous about just blowing it on items I like. Before I spend I thought I'd ask on here if those of you who have spent years building a wardrobe have any advice - or could let me know some common mistakes new members make - as I've worked many hours trying to save for this :)

Spend $1k or under on an item you really want / have wanted
Spend $500 on two pairs of sneakers or mc shoes depending on your style make sure to rotate them

Put the rest into an S&P etf

Any oxford shirts recs?

Yeah uniqlo blue and white is all you need. Sold all my gitman / Thom Browne / Black Fleece. Got 5 shirts for the price of less than one shirt
