Looking for some new sneakers to wear over the Winter. To throw on with most things - especially fairly smart cropped trousers.

Criteria:

Price: £100 or less... that's like 135USD (cheaper the better)
Size: UK 9 (EU 43)
Colour: White/Off-white leather
Style: As minimal as possible OR something really cool from like Ann D/Dries/Margiela...

I have a massive pet hate for sneakers where the tongue comes up even slightly high. I have a pair of standard margiela white GATs and the tongue is high enough that it really annoys me.

Any ideas?

I just realized Mr. Porters, what felt like 6 month long email campaign, about being a modern spy.. wait no your now a cowboy.. was tied to a movie. This sort of played into their playboy life but rugged on the weekends mantra they've been emailing me about for years now. So I just figured it was an extension of that and unsubscribed because they took it way too far. I'm guessing Kingsman is a super hero movie, I hate super hero movies.

Geez that's some serious native advertiser of whatever the call it. Kind of assumes we're paying more attention than I'd suppose would be the case (though you did connect the dots anyway).

But man still sign me up for anything described on Wikipedia as a "media franchise." Sign me up twice.

Sarcasm.

Thanks both - I do have a pair of Stan Smith's but they just feel.. I dunno, really depressing. The leather is kind of spongy. It's put me off Adidas if I'm honest.

I have a pair of these below from APC. They're great - actually, they're pretty much perfect, but I've worn them to death, and a new pair is like £240 :/ They're much less 'clinical stark white' in person, more of a 'bone' colour.

I haven't looked at any of these in some time but it seems like any of the following could work, although on sale.

Napoléon was taller than average btw, this bullshit and the ensuing expression comes from British
propaganda.

Says the French guy (not sure if you are French or whatever but it was a good comeback)

I actually know that regarding Napoleon. the condition is still called napoleon complex so you can feel free and dissect the historical facts about the man but that's not the point.

It is not a condition, it is a silly stereotype...BTW Eugène isn't suffering from any such thing, he's relatively short and knows it and will say stuff like "Oh I can't wear that, works for taller dudes" without being self-conscious about it or anything.
