He went from one extreme to another extreme.

I like what (I think) Fuuma said: minimalists are hoarders too; they hoard space.
+1

Minimalism as an aesthetic and pairing down is so pervasive that I can't believe someone would self-congratulate for being into that ****. More is more!

On the other hand I don't think the article is about that, there is a (moving) personal story of compensation followed by a happy balance. You could also say he moved from being overwhelmed by consumption of fashion (up to the point of taking a hated high paying job for it) to involving some creativity and production (he now writes about it) making it less important to engage in consumption splurges.

I'm a size 9D and took a 3 in the Kapital boots. They're a touch long, but I don't think sizing down would have been an option. You may be able to get them to fit if you're a 9.5D.

FWIW, the guy I bought them from, Jon at Bandana Almanac, wears the same boots in a size 4 and he's a 10D. He also proxies Kapital for really reasonable fees.

These are the boots, btw. Not sure if other models fit the same.

Thank you for going above and beyond with this!

That moment you get your fresh APC jeans in the mail, and your wife washes them because she knows how you love to take care of your clothes.... :slayer:

I soak/wash all most of my raw jeans once before wearing, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

These turmeric dyed guidis are dope. I wouldn't wear them, but they're really beautiful. The color is very pleasant and calming.

cobbler quoted me $110 to repair lining and resole my painted GATs :( I think it's time to dig their grave... I guess 5 years is a pretty good life for sneakers
