My wife got a bunch of great linen stuff from Lithuanian etsy sellers. Really nice heavy fabrics, big drapey coats, pants, similiar. I havent found anything equivalent (almost like Nest Robe Confect) on Etsy for men unfortunatly.

I realize this… however, I like my jeans to be built like tanks! Readily admit styling/fit looks proper to my eye in the photo tho.

I apologise for having brought an example of a (apparently) low quality garment. I don't wear jeans myself and the picture has just the purpose to illustrate my opinion that wide leg trousers look better, in a classic as well as in a casual style.

Possibly these are better quality, Scott Fraser Collection.

speaking of looser pants, any good recos out there for baggy jeans?

I mostly wear vintage Levi’s 550s these days (looser up top, but tapered) but I really want like a 9”+ leg opening.

I like the looks of the new 18 East jeans but theyre a bit too short for me.

Would y'all mind sharing some links? Fok linked a Ukranian shop on etsy, but their sizes are too small for me

Yes, please, share the wealth! All etsy links appreciated.

Love linen shirts when the summer hits. The De Bonne Facture I've had is a bit heavier, reallllly softens up with a wash, and has a springy/spongy feel to it. I also really like the Monitaly vacation shirts. A touch too long, but suuuuuuper light without being see through.

Yes, please share about these women's lithuanian linen etsy vendors - I think my wife will be interested. Unless we're talking in code.

I’ve tried the Lithuanians the Ukrainians the Estonians I mean all the former USSR guys and none of their linen holds up after washes/shrinks at the dry cleaners etc. PL’s are like the tanks of linen

Linen bed sheets funny enough though theyre the GOATs

With the proviso that you need to bring more of an eye because the styling is very Etsy, this place has substantial linen that has stood up to wash and wears for me, and my wife has a bunch of stuff she loves from this place.

Obviously collective outcomes will vary, but I've never had durability problems with either place, and we wear them pretty hard? Like, I hike with packs on with it and stuff. I wouldn't dry clean any of this stuff, but I wouldn't dry clean anything, so. Gentle wash and hang dry and I'm good to go. I avoid stuff with plackets (tunic life is closer to one's best life, I find), because my experience with linen shirts is anything with a placket is going to turn into a saggy mess (never done RLPL, but have don like Ike Behar and Individualized shirts back in the day, and it didn't matter).

+1 on the placket and I also try to avoid chest pockets

PL has a bibbed linen shirt I’m 👀 I missed out on the OB 007 one and dammit if I don’t want to wear a linen bibbed dinner shirt to the beach

I just bought a pair of Dickies denim carpenter jeans off of ebay and they're a lot like these from 18 East. The problem is that very few of the pairs out there are blue denim - they're mostly duck canvas. Which is maybe fine too - I love the duck versions. They're super cheap and plentiful online, and I like the way they fit. My 13 year old already stole this pair.
