I might be the odd one but I can't seem to get behind beefroll loafers :(. Took a chance with the crowdfunding event but alas, I think I just prefer a flat strap.

I guess someone will get a deal on a pair in 8.5D.

I had a pair of beefroll loafers many moons ago in the navy shell cordovan. They were pretty to look at but I always had a much more difficult time wearing them than my tassel loafers or my LHS. They slowly turned into my house shoes.

I wouldn't mind some shell cordovan house shoes ?

Why was the beefroll difficult to wear?

Why was the beefroll difficult to wear?

They felt too casual to wear to the office with tailored chinos, cords, and tweeds, but also felt too formal to wear with denim and more casual chinos.

After their stint as my shoes to wear around the house, I ended up eventually sending them over to LuxeSwap so they could find a new home but #WFH has brought about a drastic change in my wardrobe and the recent conversation in this thread has me sort of itching to give another pair a chance.

Very nice. Please post some pictures whenever you wear it little more. I would like to see how it would look like when it is worn especially how the rolls form.
That's how all of @mdubs shell footwear looks regardless of age. o_O
That's what I thought as well. I went through many pages trying to find worn out looks. New shell is nice, but how it ages and how it looks when it is worn is what I am interested on.
A huge rotation of shell cordovan shoes certainly helps ?

:) Definitely helps that I have a healthy rotation. COVID is also making it a lot worse as I am barely wearing them. Hoping to be back in the office and wearing them again soon!

Just in time for my birthday!

Wait for it.

Clymer boots, 11B in Brown Bison. These fit so much better than my 11B Clymer 2 moc's. They measure the same in length but these are more snug and I have like 3/4' of shoe in front of my big toe. That said, the ball of my foot falls perfectly in the toe box and the break in the sole is where it needs to be for my feet. I can hardly wait to break these in. I am not expecting these to stretch like the CXL Clymer's did. The leather is already soft and supple. My Acadia Bison's are broken in now and the leather just gets softer without stretching.
