Your eagle eyes couldn’t spot that? I thought it was clear as say - it’s leather sandwiched between rubber!

LoL, in a hindsight, the sandwiched part did look different to my eyes - I remember inspecting it and everything from the look to the sound that made was somewhat "plasticky" compared to the rubber, but I would have never guessed it's the leather itself. Would definitely lose a bet on this one.

@Jaguardragoon Do post alot of fit pictures of those Bradford, i have been eyeing them myself but never pulled the tricker.. How do they fit? And do you own other pairs of C&J, if yes please let me know which and how they fit. Do you own any from Carmina/Loake/Allen Edmonds please post the name as well. Might give me an idea if they would fit me :)

Thank you.

Gents, I've decided I'm going to buy my first pair of Handgrades in the new year.

My shortlist is currently;
Egerton in Tan Antique Calf
Walton II in Beechnut Antique calf

Does anyone have either of these shoes and if so, please could you share a photo of them? The photos on the website look quite processed and I want to get a feel for how pale the tan is.

Alternatively, can you post a photo of any of you Handgrades in Tan antique or Beechnut antique calf?

Thanks

I don’t have those in pictures but I was at the NYC store recently.

These Seconds I would say give you an idea of what the tan color is like.

This Beaumont is beechnut antique so I would say it could be a mock of the color the Walton would be.

Thanks for that.

Hmm, the tan is quite pale! Looks a bit richer/darker on the website. Might those seconds be without the antique/burnish treatment?

EDIT: This is the Tan Antique from the website photo

Sure, I did wear them a second day for a few hours today. Unfortunately it rained and the soles a little wet. I’ll post pics when I get them cleaned up. After second wear, I’m pretty sure of the size.

I do own the Galway 2 in 7.5E for a year. Those I wore with thicker stocks and they’ve been fine for casual wear.

My Westbourne are 7.5E are from eBay but while feel they look long, the width is comfortable. As they were used, I can’t guess what the brand new would feel like.

Allen Edmonds, McAllister and Cornwallis were all US 8.5E.

@Jaguardragoon Uf, now i am abit worried as the Westbourne is on the same last as Tetbury. The Tetbury had a horrendous fit for my more wide feet, and i had to return them. While the Galway 2 seems like a more roomy fit. I truly do wonder if Bradford is going to fit me.

@Churchill W. Yes, I’m in London so I visited the jermyn st stores only. I didn’t see a Bradford. Although in the smaller store the shoes are displayed by size. I was looking at the 7.5 - 8 range. Most of the discounted shoes were handgrade. There were 3 from the main line range which they had all sizes for:- Highbury being one, can’t remember the others.

@MrUnderwood the Bradford’s are on 341 last, I have Brecon chukka on that last, they are slightly wider to me than 348 last, I think I could’ve sized down in them.

The official website lists the products that are on sale, no info on the price unfortunately.

www.crockettandjones.com/the-article/winter-sale-2018

Thank you. I'm aware they don't list sale items on the website. In the past, members of this forum have been able to obtain the list and have been so kind as to post it here. For example:

The Summer Summer has started today.

From the lovely Pernilla Searle

Our sale is composed of a large variety of shoes and boots, which are made up of current styles that we are now discontinuing, samples, cancelled orders and Hand Grade seconds. As a result, we can’t send out a full list of the shoes we have on sale as a lot of them will no longer appear on our Website and our customers will simply not know what design they are.

Please note that Samples, Cancelled Order and Hand Grade seconds are only available from the stores direct as each store has different stock.

To contact your preferred store please use the link below:

https://www.crockettandjones.com/where-to-buy/

Our stores will be extremely busy serving customers, due to this it can take some time for them to reply. They will also not be able to send a full list of shoes in shoes available in your size. If you are able to visit the store this would be recommended as the best way to secure your new Crockett & Jones Shoes.

I have listed the shoes that still appear on our website that are now on sale, with both original price and Sale price:

Please note the website is still showing original price.

The strange thing is I tried the Bradford in coffee calfskin since those were also on sale. 7.5E felt plenty snug but these cordovan at 7E feel almost exactly the same.

It could be these seconds ran big as another flaw.
