Just to confirm, is this the Chukka on 200 or perhaps Chiltern on 224? Really lovely.

I'm not necessarily against joining depending on makeup. I need some new derbies as I am overstocked on oxfords and my style has moved to more casual since covid.@BurgundyOxfords and myself were contemplating the Bangor for a GMTO a while back. But there's not enough interest floating around for these (or any shoes for that matter). Boots rule to GMTO roost 🐔
A bangor in whiskey shell - off-contrast double row stitching (as seen in photo) - exposed eyelets (as seen in photo)- stormwelt - fudging of edging - ridgeway soles.I'm not necessarily against joining depending on makeup. I'd be for this. I'd also be for a brown shell version as well. Either would be fine.A bangor in whiskey shell - off-contrast double row stitching (as seen in photo) - exposed eyelets (as seen in photo)- stormwelt - fudging of edging - ridgeway soles.
Now that would be a banger of a bangor 💣
I can bet it still wouldn't get enough people
Avon by Cheaney a good casual option too. Quite similar to this BangorI'm not necessarily against joining depending on makeup. I need some new derbies as I am overstocked on oxfords and my style has moved to more casual since covid.

Too round a last for me, but I can see one of my next purchases being C&J in whiskey shell.
The Bangor
Very nice! I purchased the Bangor in 2015, but in DBSG, from (what I'm guessing) the same vendor (Grafford?).They are on the 365 last, and really give off a boot vibe when standing, given the roomy toe (it's really the Islay's shoe sibling!). Together with the off contrast stitching you mention this makes it a pair of great casual wingtip for use with jeans or cords.
They're a special made for a now defunct Swedish retailer.

A shell Bangor sounds like a cracking shoe! I could go for a pair.I'd be for this. I'd also be for a brown shell version as well. Either would be fine.
Mate, John Travolta would tell you here that this is hardly a Phenomenon. Its just laces coming apart and breaking their thread. It happens. Besides, C&J laces are nothing to rave about or vouch for. Just buy a replacement good quality set of laces. Best Wishes.Hi all,
I think I need some help from the community with a strange phenomenon.
My wife got a pair of Lorna boots in Walnut Hatch Grain in November and has worn them five times so far. After the fourth time, the laces were so worn through that they broke. I replaced them, and after wearing them once, the new laces look very bad again. This is rather strange, as we have both been wearing several C&J boots with Speedhooks for many years without such a phenomenon ever happening. Normally the laces (always original C&J laces) last a very long time (mostly man years). So an incorrect lacing procedure can be ruled out as the cause. I have no explanation for this strange ‘behaviour’ of the shoes. On closer inspection, I realised that the worn-through seams are in the area of the Speedhooks. These have a very fine ridge at the edges at best, but I think I have found similar ones on other shoes where there are no problems with the laces.
Has anyone experienced something similar? What can be done?

Hi,
This is my first post. I've browsed the site before but took the plunge today. I hope it's ok to raise a quality issue first; hopefully not. It may not be but I don't have the wealth of exposure to potential flaws in GW footwear and what is acceptable.
Today I received a pair of Indiana Rough Out Boots currently showing in the C & J sale. They fit very well indeed but I noticed a notch in the welt and would appreciate thoughts on whether this is trivial or not? Many Thanks.
