Always been my most desired boot but still haven’t got around to it. I have the rough out version but there’s something awesome about Islay in DBSG

I almost got in on the TSG Islay GMTO a while back. Maybe next time…

They look great. I love the DBSG Islays and I wish I could still wear them. Enjoy your maiden voyage. I am taking my TSG Harrys/Islays out for their maiden voyage today too..

Nah, the islay belongs in DBSG in the same way as the Pembroke has to be TSG.

Does "next time" have the potential for a TSG Islay GMTO that does:

- all exposed eyelets
- bellows tongue
- notched welt / fudging
- ridgeway / vibram londra

I think I would involve myself in this. I’m not sure how I feel about speed hooks thus far so exposed eyelets would be ok with me.

Yes, a very military vibe on those. How strong a different leather and colour can change the look of a shoe or boot.

Not only the leather. The boot has a wider welt and a lug sole.
