Hello,
there were many comments with Islay Tan Scotch Grain last days which makes me thinking about these boots as well. I found out that Trickers is offering similar boots with different leathers. Do you have them? How would you compare CJ's 365 and Tricker's 4497S? Should I take same size as in 335?

You must try them on to know. No advice will give you any accurate info. Just suggestions. For me, 4497 is an amazing fit. 335 is also a good fit. Size stays the same with both

I wanted to take mine out for a spin today, but could bear their maiden voyage being in such horrendous weather.

It may be superstition, but I always wear a new pair of boots for a day or two absent from rain ever since I mounted a brand new Burford and got spots that were harder to brush off than usual.
I think it helps when the leather has become a bit softer and the pores have opened.

I vaguely remember some knowledgeable people recommended new shoes should not get wet the first few uses. There are valid reasons for that I can't remember.

Took my Pembroke's out for their first wear to the office yesterday and they fit perfect. This pair might go down as my best secondhand purchase yet. Initially just wanted to know if the last would fit me, but I also really enjoy the style, leather and finishing. Even managed to find a matching belt on Vinted.

Keepers for sure!

Visible Pick Stitching on Lapels and Pockets

  • It’s a mark of quality and craftsmanship

  • I like it when it’s subtle

  • I don’t like visible stitching

  • Doesn’t matter to me
