What about a black shell Coniston?

I already have a Coniston in Black Scotch Grain. Nice boot, looks dead smart. I also own the Bradford in black shell, was on my feet today.

If I was going for a cap-toe boot I think I’d opt for the Harlech in black. That would look sleek!

But, what I really desire is the taller shaft of the Islay, I have in my mind a smart Special Forces boot (with brogueing)!

Have you considered going outside the CJ family? A full brogue boot isn't that difficult to make in black cordovan.

Keen to stick with what I know absolutely works with my feet. The last, the design, they just work. And a tiny bit about completing a set!

If you had asked me a year or two ago, I'd probably be all on board with that. My need for sleek black boots is fairly non-existent at the moment

I’m just not into black shoes/boots. I see them as an unfortunate necessity for formal or conservative occasions. But judging by the uptick in black boots and shoes at C& J I’m not exactly riding the wave of fashion. But I don’t care 😂

I'm interested in a black shell boot. Coniston would work or a cap toe with brogue like this would be even better imo. Change to speed hooks and 360 storm welt and it'd be amazing.

The rough out really goes with Barbour jackets. Which jacket did you go with? I really wanted the Bond jacket but I had issues with the fit (sleeves too long and dug into my shoulders when arms extended so couldn't drive with it)

I went with beaufort. It had the best fit of the three i tried. Really like it for what i bought it for.
