Middle one is unlined color 8 shell. Used to be made by Alden with shell sourced from Horween. BB switched recently to an Italian maker. Not nearly as good as the Horween version. The looks like Alden one but I have heard numerous instances of people thinking they are ordering the former only to receive the latter. Absent a picture of the Horween stamp the best way to yell is by the sole. Alden is all leather and the Italian version has a rubber insert.

@RogerKaputnik was safe for an hour or so, and I got to try the Galways on. I would say visually at least the toe looks a lot more pointed on the 325 vs the 335. I will place them side by side once I get the time. I wonder if this feels this way because of the apron taking up a bit of space. Still width wise, I didn't feel like my toes were rubbing the side walls too hard or anything, so again it could just be a visual thing.

Definitely, compared to what I usually wear though ( Tricker's and a couple of Cheaney's ) this is a way more shaped toe box. Not something I might buy if I wasn't enabled by forum's such as these but now that I have them I must say, these are a very handsome pair of boots and I look forward to wearing them.

Thx!
What about the double monk? It should be a CJ for Pesl and Co. isn’t it?

I'm likely alone in this, and don't get me wrong I love shell, but I feel like the Galways in grained leather are better than their shell counterparts.

Haven’t tried the shell ones, although I know a lot of posters here swear by them, but the shell versions look a bit ‘plain’ to me. Or maybe i’m just a sucker for grain leather. ;-)

I really like the grained Galway's with the light brown braided laces.
Not alone. I am actually considering selling my whisky shell Galways but I’m keeping the brown grain ones.
What size?
