Yes, it's been open for maybe a month now. I haven't been in there yet.

By the way, I did some Christmas shopping for my wife at the Polo store in Chevy Chase last weekend - 40% off; also bought 3 cashmere turtlenecks for myself - 30% off. Saw a good selection of shoes on sale; including 2 that I had purchased at regular price. I have the feeling that there's going to be an additional mark-down the day after Thanksgiving.

Here's a thread I started on the Bloomie's in Chevy Chase.

Just got back from Mazza. The Saks (which has a +40% sale until noon) had a good selection of Zegna ties for around $60 and some Brioni shirts for a little over a $100. A few multistriped Zegna/Z Zegna suits in 38 and 40 were also on sale.

The new Bloomingdales is running a 30% off Z Zegna, Armani, and Sanyo.

I picked up a nice charcoal houndstooth Zegna sportscoat for 65% off at the Saks.

Was at FB at Mazza last night. Not much there that I could see. But everything looked like a tornado hit it.

Not really a sale, but I thought I'd let people in DC know about it.

Yesterday I was at the Georgia Ave Thrift store in NE and saw a very nice 3 btn, midnight blue, 100% cashmere, canvased, Chester Barrie for Saks sport coat, size 41 R (but the sleeves had been taken up an inch or so). It had hand-worked buttonholes and great horn buttons, non-functional at the sleeves, and was in overall very good condition. $7.

Filene's Conn Ave: Some Luciano Barbera Club shirts, decent colors and patterns in real-person sizes, marked 60% off Filene's price. Scored a shirt for $40. There were two or three racks of stuff. Not sure that's a deal worth posting, but I was pleased.

$40 seems okay to me.

Did you happen to notice what other shirts they had? I'm always on the look out for Robert Talbot and Hart Schaffner Marx. I picked up one of each one day at the FB at Mazza for $12.50 each.

I did spot a Robert Talbot, sitting out of place downstairs. I didn't see the rack it came from, but then I didn't go upstairs, which is where the discounted designer shirts often are. There may be some up there. There were also a bunch of Polo shirts at 60% off, all classic fit, so not my thing.
