Unfortunately, it looks like one of the longtime SF affiliates went out of business today. Haven't been able to get any specific information as to why.
If you were waiting on an order to be filled (like me), I'd highly recommend contacting your credit card / Paypal for a refund.
It looks like Tim Hardy with the Worcestershire Leather Company provides similar bridle leather belts, https://www.timhardy.com/.
I can personally recommend Hrothgar Stibbon for excellent quality bridle leather bags and cases, and next-level customer service. https://hrothgarstibbon.co.uk/

Charlie had not notified me either. We communicated in December, iirc. I'll update with news should I be able to reach him or Dawn.

Thanks.

Cheers,

Fok.

The irony is, I seem to recall distinctly him commenting on another leatherworker and maker of briefcases who absconded with customers' money. I recall the word "******"

I remember that discussion, too.

Sad to see Equus go under.

This is so sad. We are losing the great British briefcase makers I called WHITEHOUSE COX to place an order and their number is disconnected. Whitehouse Cox made gorgeous bridle leather briefcases for Ralph Lauren and recently made exquisite belts co branded with Polo and currently in Polo stores. Equus made superb briefcases. Maybe demand for traditional briefcases is waning. Hope not. See enough businessmen carrying backpacks and ugly messenger bags. I see Swaine Adeney now calls itself "Swaine" They have eliminated most of their business case styles-no more top frame or strap with buckles briefs. And horrible new colors like taupe and gray. Traditional colors like London tan and British racing green are gone. It appears they are no longer using bridle leather either as each case is described as being made with "calf leather" Brirish made briefcases are the finest in the world. It is a shame that people don't seem to appreciate classic and traditional business cases as much today. Swaine looks to be throwing their traditional customer out the window and chasing trends. It is important to support the remaining companies in England that make these wonderful products
