Seph/PC

hope u r around,...

Just ordered, as its on low stock alert, the canclini speckled gray flannel.....handsome

I ordered the soft placket, my first try w/ it.

Wanted to know if this soft placket version can be ironed well?..or does it hold deep wrinkles?....

some soft plackets never look good while others iron out well.
I only have till tomm am to change it up

thnx!!!!!

I have 4 Canclini flannel shirts with soft everything. You can iron it. I recommend a low heat. It will flatten, though it is still flannel

Is there any fabric available that’s similar to the gorgeous, blue Katazome prints PC carried for a while?

Flannel shirt with a soft Roma spread collar: Frankenstein monster or comfy biz casual? Discuss.

Today we added more fabric details to the tailored clothing product pages. Composition, Weight, Mill, Weave, and a few other things are all being displayed here now.
Thanks @Seph the fabric information will be very useful - it's great that you continue to refine your model to give customers the maximum choice. Now, just the addition of navy buttons for tailoring...!

Guys help me out a bit. Light blue shirt with a Roma cutaway collar (maybe the soft version) for sport jacket type fits in the F/W. What fabric are you going with? I opt for end on end in warm weather but wanted something different for the cold. Oxford? Twill? Pinpoint?

I'm having one persistent problem with my PC shirt fit. On casual shirts that I wear with top buttons undone, I get pull lines from the highest buttoned button to sides of the collar. I can't find anything online about this.

An associate at PC suggested that I should move the collar an additional 1/2" forward, but this seems counterintuitive. Also, some of my PC shirts have the collar 1/2" BACK from the shirt in the pictures, and some of these have less pulling.

As you can see, the lines are less extreme when the 2nd button is buttoned. And they disappear when the shirt's buttoned all the way up. But I'd like to be able to wear with the top two buttons open. I like everything else about the way these shirts fit.

Thoughts?

Interesting - haven't seen this before. I agree that a Neck Back adjustment seems like it would help with this, but it does seem like a somewhat unique situation.

I would go with oxford. Twill can be shiny, and pinpoint.doesnt have the heft I like.

Just ordered a uni stripe OCBD.
I am a major fan of the soft Ivy button down on those standard $85 Oxford cloths (on the Pima wide-stripe I have, it's too thick with the lining). I'm just happy to have been able to order mine with a wide soft placket!
A bigger, more hardcore button-down would definitely be up my alley tho.
That, and a reverse stripe Oxford with a more narrowly set stripe :)
Do you think that soft wide is more suited for soft Ivy? I am considering stand up front placket but I may be wrong.
