I'm surprised the Orient Bambino get so much play compared to the Symphony, which looks very similar, is $50 cheaper, and has a windowed case back. Maybe it just seems like it because it has so many variants?

Other Orients I like include the UNION and Millenium. I really wish there was a version of the Esteem with white dial, silver metal, and indices instead of numerals, but instead they have every combination of 2 out of 3.

I don't own any of the above, but am intrigued by all of them. I'd love to hear anyone's opinions on any of them.

Groupon has a Seiko 5 sale. Here're their models. That SNKK65 looks good on a leather band.

Ugh! I wish I didn't run into this thread. I liked that Seiko so much with the custom band that I started doing my research. Found the model I wanted, the SNZG15J1 - different than the SNZG15 (being offered through Groupon) because it is made in Japan.

Purchased said SNZG15J1 from a Japanese retailer ($120):

and added this Hadley Roma band - MS846 22mm Hadley-Roma Brown Oil Leather Pinhole ($29.87):

Total cost $150. Not a bad deal..but a far cry from the $65 + potential $17 strap that started this eager search.

Carry on gents.

I really like those Seiko 5s for the price, in particular the SNKK65 I mentioned, but I really want one with 20mm lugs so I can use other straps I own. Does anyone know of a good way to search for them based on lug size?

Edit: All I found on Amazon was this one, but from the comments it sounds like it's an 18mm that was incorrectly labeled. Maybe they only make Seiko's in 18mm and 22mm?

Here's mine I just picked up from WatchMann for $325. Might be a little pricey for a poor man's watch. Ignore the wookie hand it's attached to.

I have this one too and wear it a lot. After much changing straps in the beginning, I now have it on the stock strap. It wears very well, nice and soft.
