I think it’s hard to beat this one if your aim is Milsub vibes/homage:Was always intrigued by both these and CWC watches as non-Rolex affordable milsubs. Price decrease is interesting too. Could be a good travel watch to places you'd rather not bring a more expensive piece, while still having a hefty tool watch on your wrist...
The Best Affordable Rolex MilSub Homage Watch Is Back After a Decade | Gear Patrol
After more than a decade, Mk II has resurrected its cult-classic Fulcrum dive watch, with some notable changes.www.gearpatrol.com
Don't disagree with you at all. What's the case size on that Pelagos? I do prefer a date window, though. I also don't love the snowflake hand, which is just personal preference. There is a Black Bay (the Burgundy, I think) with the red bezel that has a regular lollipop seconds hand, but a snowflake hour hand. I think that looks a lot better than snowflakes for both the hour and seconds hands.I think it’s hard to beat this one if your aim is Milsub vibes/homage:

Hey, is that a strap from Crown & Buckle?
42 mm. I have also historically not been a fan of the snowflake hands, but I have to say they fit the tool watch/military vibe of the watch on this one. Can't go wrong with an MK II, though. Have always heard great things about their watches.Don't disagree with you at all. What's the case size on that Pelagos? I do prefer a date window, though. Price is another factor as well, of course. The Mk II is less than $1,000 although admittedly it uses a Miyota movement. I think the Mk II would be a great "beater" or travel watch if you still want something tool-ish but not super expensive.
I'm strongly considering pulling the trigger on the dive bezel version with a date window tomorrow when it becomes available. I do wish it had a little more color, like the blue "antimagnetic" dial text on the original version of the watch. I think it would look great with the bracelet or a NATO strap. I think there are a limited number available tomorrow that will come with both a bracelet and a rubber strap.
Make no mistake, though, the Pelagos is a great watch.
It is. Traditional NATOs bug me with all that excess strap on my wrist. Like these much better.Hey, is that a strap from Crown & Buckle?
If so, I happen to be wearing one today, too.
