Sean.

I looked at your photo again.

It is 100% your fault
, and not the fault of the shoes.

You definitely caused this gash yourself.
LOOK at the edge of the SOLE just under the ****.
It is directly below the ****.
No shoe wears like that.
100% your fault.
Sorry to have to say that.
Best be a lot more careful in the future.
Leather is skin, and can be cut and sliced just like any other skin.
Case Closed.

And to the stupid asshole KIDS here who are flaming this thread,
you don't know ****.
I've just added a few more morons to my ignore list.

Finally..
Vox, thanks for dropping by.
It was wrong for that KID to bring your shoes into this thread.
This thread has nothing at all to do with CG anyway.
It was plain old abuse on the part of the wearer.

What a f***ing waste of my time tonight.

Save it for the next open-mic night at your local Poetry Slam, dipshit. You made an ass of yourself, everybody saw it. Get over it, nobody will remember in a week.

I don't know, probably just some young kid. I shouldn't have given him such a hard time.

I guess I've been here long enough to know when the banhammer will strike. That guy has some serious real world issues.

If they can be repaired, its work for a cobbler. The best you could hope to do it cover the exposed, underlying color with polish or dye. I'm not sure anything can be done about the slice itself.

Sean,

First of all, I want to give you condolences on the damage to the Kenmoor. I tend to agree that you committed shoeicide with it some point given the vamp damage. If the good folks at Florsheim will do something for you, then go for an exchange. If they won't, then contact your credit card company who may insure the item for you against damage on new purchases so that you can be excused from liability. I would not condemn the Kenmoor line based on shoeicide. If it happened to a pair of $795 Ferragamos, then you'd have felt worse. I didn't wear my cognac Kenmoors yesterday due to calling a fashion audible, but mine are on today and are doing just fine. You were in the legendary Curly Howard's words, "a victim of circumstance."

Good luck with however you pursue your remedies.

Mark
