Persol 649: good fit for my face?

Just bought a pair of 649s in Havana (24/33) and am unsure about the fit. I know I have a very round face and are not supposed to be wearing glasses with this shape, but I still wanted to try them out. So, what do you think? Are they too big? Too small maybe?

PS Please be gentle with me, as this is my first posting here, after being a silent reader for quite some time. ;)

Wearing sunglasses, from an impression standpoint, aim to convey the idea of danger, mystery, coolness, casualness...

The Persol does none of the above for you.

Thanks for the honesty, much appreciated. I was thinking the same: too big, too round.

If you dont already own one I think a New Wayfarfer would certainly be an option, the smaller one, 32mm width i think. Mykita's Carlos might also appeal.

Sleven, thanks for the Persol tip. Don't really like the look of them, though. Same goes for the Oliver Peoples. They will certainly look good on other people, just can't picture myself wearing them.

Foxpar, I actually own a pair of plain black New Wayfarers as my everyday glasses and am very happy with them. Just want something different for sunglasses.

pendragon, thanks for the tip. Not too keen on this model, though. I was thinking about trying out Clubmasters plus the Meteor model by Ray Ban instead.

Tauben -

If you like them, wear them.

(I'm not saying they aren't too wide or large for you.)

Think of all the celebrities (male and female) who throw it to the wind and wear whatever they fancy. (Yeah, I know you're not a celeb.)

Besides, they are just sunglasses, that's all.
