I say that from the perspective that he posts a photo of himself and lets everyone take a shot good or bad. Lots of other people on SF just toss out rude remarks but never expose themselves visually to any criticism. They hide behind avatars and snark. In the time I've been on SF I have seen a few guys start off rather rocky but with good feedback have looked better. So, why not let anyone try?

Hey guys, thanks for making snide comments about a person's sexual orientation gleaned from seeing a few pictures of him on the internet - as grown men talking about clothes on a forum where members post pictures of themselves in hopes of other members critiquing and/or praising their outfit, this reflects very well on yourselves.

As I said I don't think there's anything wrong with being a leather man. Just that the tattoos and pink pants chap looked massively like this stereotype - the muscles, the beard, his whole vibe.
For the record I don't think pink trousers are bad at all, I can imagine very light pink chinos with a white shirt looking very cool in summer.
