Very j press / brooks brothers.
Fabric color is nice!
I second this. It's got an American look to it.

First/basted fitting of my olive green suit in Novara pure silk.
This is basically a remake of my old RTW suit from Suitsupply a couple of years ago (below IG post). My old suit felt too tight, but I loved this particular cloth very much.
Worked with my tailor to have this made with a more fitted silouette, and overall I am quite satisfied.

Also ongoing is this checked sport jacket in Cerruti 'Oxygen'.
You can tell from photos that this jacket is in a completely different cut from the suit above. We are taking advantage of a checked pattern to experiment with a cut that is dartless in the front and with a shorter V-zone.
Arm hole is a bit larger and there is also more room given to me in the chest.

Yup. Antibes in vintage pine.Pant is mighty clean, think I spot some GG Antbee?
No grey at all. I guess the cloth doesn’t translate well when not viewed in real life. And does the clothe have a lot grey or just my monitor?
Got my length of the LL Prince Tweed earlier this week. Can't wait to give it to Keiichi Satowa and have it made into a regal 2-piece - so happy he agreed to take me on as a client. The cloth just cries out for a drapey English cut.
Did anyone else subscribe to that?
Yes Solbiati time off bunchGreat color on the PoW check. Wool-silk-linen?

But it’s interesting. How American ivy style has “changed” if you will.
Look at the shoulders on this suit from Caid in Japan & compare it to the shoulders on the suit from earlier. The shoulders in the former are softer while the shoulders in the latter are built more like a brooks brothers / j press jacket.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any old photos of old j press / brooks. I’m curious about the shoulders on those. And it begs the question: is Caid an Ivy League silhouette or a Japanese interpretation of the old Ivy League silhouette?
Of course, one is not bad or good (I should add, ivy isn’t for me generally, but I don’t make judgements about a persons style who likes it). Does anyone know?

Apologies for the double post: curiosity got the better of me and I went to investigate.
These photos are from a 1979 brooks brothers catalog. Obviously that is a far cry from the hay day of Ivy League style. But you can see, while the shoulder is soft, it isn’t as extended as caid’s shoulder. It’s more similar to the jacket posted above.
