Have you asked him why he doesn't cut a front dart like the Florentines?
I guess it’s just something he picked up at his former employers (I can’t remember if it’s Colombo or Caraceni). Dartless front is apparently not unique to Florence and some Milanese houses do that as well.

Hi. I can’t decide which one of those buttons. I would love to hear the members preferences. Thanks.

Konstanti (@konstantis) Good morning,

If this is a worsted suiting fabric, as it appears to be, I would stay clear of unpolished buttons.

I would only use them on flannel suits and tweed jackets.

In short:
Worsted fabric = polished buttons = city vibe
Woolen fabric = unpolished buttons = less urban/rural vibe

Best,

Dimitris

I'd go for top right. And I like matt horn - entirely disagree that it's only for flannel/tweed. To me it's entirely suitable for suiting, in fact even preferable. Polished horn looks cheap.

Word of caution - natural horn buttons have a lot of variation - what you choose may end up looking quite different from the samples here.

Agree with both suggestions. All options are good but I’d pick top right. I use unpolished on all commissions.

I've been on the road for a few weeks and took the opportunity to spend the weekend in Napoli.

which resulted in the following :)
