One of our cats died today

Sad. I've put two cats down and it was devastating.

Here is the last one, Little Cat.

She was the best ever. She was delusional and thought she was a dog! She would come when called, retrieve things, and sleep on my head ( with or without an assistant alongside ).

I vowed never to get another cat but Squeaky literally would come to my front door to be fed when she was a kitten. I have no idea where she came from. None of that feral cat stuff for her

Today she's 10 years old and is horribly spoiled.

I would lose money before losing my cat. And come to think of it there are some relatives of mine I'd put down before putting Squeaky down.

Bradford, we've got three cats and two dogs, haven't had a pet go on me but I'm sure we will in the next few years, and I dread that day. Hell, I was morose for a few days after we lost a baby duckling that had wandered into our front yard.

I'm so sorry about this, Bradford! If there's a heaven, so many cats and dogs will certainly be there as well - with all the unconditional love that they give. I hope that Gandalf will be O.K. with the loss of his buddy.

Padma deserves the respect and memories you guys will have during this time of mourning, but you owe it to yourselves and especially Gandalf to get another cat at some point to fill that void. Padma will understand.

One of our cats had this ugly growth develop on his hip. We had it drained but then it came back again. I always said I would never spend big money on the pets (2 cats +1 dog). But when you're in the examination room and they give you the estimate, it's like, oh $650, that's not too bad, let's do it. He's fine now and I'm glad I did it.

that sucks, we have a family cat and i would be pretty sad if anything happened to her. I hope you find peace with it soon - my condolences.
