So, in an effort to get going, I just put on the gray boring one.

Love the top half, but I think the Y-3's don't belong there at all. And you know my opinion on the pants.

I'm working on the pants. Worry not! Got some new ones coming soon. As for the shoes... yeah... another compromise today. I have a lot of walking to do today and meetings all over campus, so need something comfortable (and I wanted some slight injection of color). I have some black suede boots I was going to wear, but they're quite chunky/heavy and I don't want to walk a few miles in them.

yeah, the button placket unbuttoned for some reason and the undershirt slid up. couldn't be bothered to fix it, but I agree. a more subdued color would probably work better as well. thanks anyway.

rach2: great jacket. I like that you're representing beams on the forum.

Thanks, Bobo! The hat is a different wool (brown with a reddish sheen) from the Bedford (black herringbone). I picked up a few of these wool fisherman hats from the EG friends and family sale...perfect for a balding man in the wintertime.

Nice Jacket. Though I think it would be a bit nicer if it didn't have the huge front pockets on it.

I actually agree. This came from 3 years back or so and I think Beams (or, it's "International Gallery" line) was trying to play off on the Neil Barrett; Dior homme sort of distressed multipocketed sort of lambskin jacket. Nevertheless, having all those pockets is sort of convenient... I can keep keys, a cell phone, even an agenda and some pens in there easily.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
