I love that this franchise can’t move away from a female protagonist. No complaints on that. I just find it funny.

Is this a prequel, sequel, reboot, or just in-universe?

Honestly, I just hope in universe. I don't need any more prequels.
Looks like a pivot back to body horror from more vanilla sci-fi.

I wasn’t sure if a sequel was a great idea but this looks good. Love how pissed off he looks in the trailer.

Wifey got us into the latest True Detective which is a total homage to The Thing. First episode was even titled "Who Goes There?" Will finish that shortly and give this one a try:

Please post your review of the finale when you get there...
Have finale left to watch tomorrow. They are leaning into the fantastical but I think it’s just a tease. Been watching it as a cop show.

Watched episode one of 3 body problem total and utter mind f..k and aesthetically pleasing eye candy. Better still complete first season up on Netflix 🥳

Apparently, the actor who played the dad is a giant ****? Things you learn with sequels over 30 years later.

Latest True Detective okay but very intense and overwrought. Went total John Carpenter right away. Worth watching but many, many subplots and red herrings got a bit tiresome.
