I never understood the hate for her other than “woman” who was not an "ideal thin body type” and “not white.”

Otherwise, she was fine. :shrugs:

All day long movies have characters who don't make huge impacts on the story. It's obvious why she got singled out with hate.

I was confused what her role was - thought she was a major character, and then...just disappears?

She’s all over TLJ. Her arc was meant to help Fin complete his character arc in the movie.

She disappears in ROS because Disney decided to sideline her after all the hateful online backlash she got.

Many, including myself, think her character was dumb, as was her dialogue and delivery.
So that is the reason. You don't have to agree.
Maybe she'll do a Shakespeare piece with Sir Kenneth Branagh down the road and knock my socks off.

I like it...
He's been in stuff I've liked him in, but he's not oversaturated.
Idris Elba was for a long time, in everything that was made, and he's too old now.
Henry Cavill would have been great, but he's in so much stuff as well.
Harding doesn't have the look to me.

I liked him in Kickass but he’s not really that great of an actor. Seems like a mistake if this casting is true.
