you'd be a terrible studio recording artist.

"foof, welcome, if you look in the vault, there's a Klon Centaur if you want to plug it in"

"let me check the boutique market, lets resume tomorrow"

I read this and burst into laughter--for no apparent reason whatsoever from my coworkers' point of view. They are looking at me funny.

Actually, I looked into the Klon. The original is too 'spensive. The reissue from Klon (the KTR) is supposedly not made very well, though they just now are re-releasing it, as made by a supposedly better factory.

Just a few select pieces now. All ones I play. I sold off a Custom Shop strat, a boutique copy of a 4x10 Bassman and a vintage style 2.5 National steel body uke in the last year because they just weren't getting any attention. I'm thinking about flipping one of my blond jazz boxes for a nice 50's Martin. I haven't had a flat top in a long time. Prior to this I let a lot of my collection go in the mid 90's during a major change in my life. It was cool having a closet with 25 bad-ass vintage guitars at any given time. I had a ball hunting them down (all pre internet) meeting guys, musicians, networking, etc.) but I decided to focus on playing and less on acquisition. I came to a point where playing the guitar was far more important than being known for owning guitars. Don't get me wrong, they were all beautiful instruments, reflecting quality and craftsmanship. I enjoyed them all. But anyone with money can buy a guitar. However, it takes skill to play the guitar. Talent is one thing money can't buy.

What Martin are you eyeing? This thread has no love for acoustics it seems. I like the smaller Martins. My only flat top is a 00-21 but it is all I need. I sold a Collings DS1-A, which sounded great but it wasn't getting played because of the Martin.

I need to see pics of those "blond jazz boxes" btw.

Lulz.

I'm pretty sure someone in NYC wants the awesome weekend project of boxing that Princeton up and mailing it to me... just saying.

shipping via UPS is probably around $90, at least that's about what it cost to ship my Vox AD30VT with the full UPS "packs it up" deal (the Fender is 5 lbs heavier but physically smaller). If you can work a way to get cash to the seller, I'm sure i could work something out.

inefficient. mute the low E with your thumb, strum all 6 strings, and be sure to keep the high E open.

Ugh. Forget it. So many ways to voice a chord.

There's so many voicings...then the pattern where your bar A-E and form and inverted "D" chord shape on DGB...use that one it seems a lot.

WTF. Trying to paste in a tab.

Screw it.

Need to get back to a little theory and shapes this weekend. Been slacking off. Have yet to learn fifth shape for pentatonic scale and need to get back to memorizing the note at any point on the fret board. Too old and too busy to spend much energy on theory.
