The after the episode commentary is always terrible, but tonight's could be the worst. The guy just basically says "everyone knew this was going to happen all along" re: Arya.

This episode was disappointing - the last two episodes concerning Arya was so poorly written.

It was great seeing the Hound back.

I'm ******* tired of seeing the bad guys win, and I'm as disgusted with Edmure as the Blackfish is.

What's with the cheesy horror movie gore and sound effects? It's always so at odds with the tone they're aiming for.

The "Waif" looked like she was about 35 in the daylight. Maybe she should be the Spinster instead. What was her plan, anyway -- fight with that little tiny knife?

I need to go on reddit and post my theory that the waif killed Arya and traded faces with her. Bet she kills Jon Snow again in season 8.

That would be a great theory except for the fact the waif's face was on the wall of many faces.

Why bring back the Blackfish, only to kill him off screen?

IIRC in the books Edmure surrenders the castle but also allows the blackfish to escape, which Jaime is not happy about.

Yeah this was definitely a weak episode. Too many plot holes. If the waif can wear faces, why did she bother chasing Arya all over town like it's an action movie?

Turning out to be a weak season in general no matter what happens in the next two eps. And here I thought that without the books to follow it'd be tops. The Bravos and Essos arcs have been nothing but filler. Arya doesn't seem like any better of an assassin now (she spent the season getting her ass kicked and they didn't portray a great growth of ability) and the Waif turned out to be an awful assassin - stab Arya in the throat next time please. Despite Daenerys' return last night, everyone in Mereen has pretty much been chilling and shooting the **** in Mereen for weeks. The once-wonderful dynamic contention between the Westerosi houses are all but gone because the most compelling characters of them are dead or disempowered. Basically I'm having trouble giving a **** now about who rules the Iron Throne.

After the Hound killing off the folks from the Brotherhood Without Banners, the highlight of the episode was probably Greyworm telling Missandei that, "That was the worst joke I ever heard!"
