Sorry for the delay but the tux was flawless. I had friends how don't know mohair from Motown asking me "is that one of this things that was made for you?"
No pro shots yet but some good fit indications---basically I didn't t feel nervous for a second, and that's uncharacteristic! I attribute a good deal oft hat to the fact that when I put on my tux, I felt invincible. Thanks Scott! (Fiancée tried to fix bow tie that didn't need fixing :) but it's courtesy of general knot)

Other details: cuff links courtesy of great great grandfather--gold with purple amethyst and "K" for his last name-- King, 2 tone submariner with blue face--wedding gift from parents (a little gauche perhaps but I don't care), shirt from Eton, shoes from Spoo's Lodger sale awhile back---black wholecuts shined within an inch of their lives.

And my personal favorite--my wedding band (my design). Satin hammered 18kt cold half white/half yellow (watch matching purposes) with small champagne diamonds at the 2 seams,:slayer:

PPS....

I really don't mind if you anyone has valid criticisms, etc....obviously they're worthless to me as I don't plan to get married again (then again i do plan to use everybexcuse to wear this tux...).

I have thick skin, but one word about my bride and I shall find you :foo::nodding:

Congratulations - well done!

And you are indeed correct on both counts: a little gauche and you should not care when it comes to parental wedding gifts; wear it in good health!

The tux (and the bride) look great. I'll be getting married next Aug and I am having Frank & Co. do my wedding suit as well (3 pc, gray). Hoping to get started at the trunk show next week. Congrats again!

I don't own a tux. I should get married so I have an excuse to get one made up.

You live in NYC. You could probably find a black tie or black tie optional event to go to twice a month if you really wanted. Yes, you have to buy tickets to most but think how many times you could wear the tux to get your money's worth.

Congratulations, @rusty18 . It will be great to see you at the trunk show. And fwiw, my ring started off looking like this:

but in platinum. It's been nine and a half years, and it looks much more worned and nicked at this point.

Re. a dinner rig. I have two. And I hardly ever even need to wear a suit, ever. I think that having a proper rig (both of mine are shawl lapels) is a good thing to have in your closet, just in case. After all, if you get invited to dinner with the queen, you don't want to have to rent, right?

The last time I wore a tux was my high school senior prom.
