I was about to buy since I'm contemplating a Tom Ford tuxedo for full price, but I decided the lapels look too narrow. Does anyone know what model this is? It also looks to be short and the buttonholes/cuff already in place.

As the Sale Scout speculated, this may have been a temporary glitch, as prices are now back to full retail. Hope you were able to nab one while they were (briefly) discounted.

And I hope Bloomingdales honors the reduced price.

Just got an e-mail from the Sale Scout. Barbour jackets are 40% off at Bloomingdales through 8/23. The Bedale is $227.40, with free shipping.

I was at the Nordstrom Rack on State Street here in Chicago on Thursday of last week and they had a lot of Barbour coats on sale. I only saw a rack of women's so not sure if there were men's. I didn't look as I already have one and didn't need to be tempted. Women's waxed coats were in the $200 range if I recall correctly. Large selection. Guessing there could be men's as well.

MyHabit has several models of Aldens, including suede chukkas and loafers and Indy boots for $365. Sizes are limited, but there are some normal sizes left. The listing says they're made in Italy, but I don't think so...

Just got an email from my Neiman Marcus SA about a special deal where you get a suitcase (looks a like a rimowa, but I doubt it's actually Rimowa brand) if you spend $500. Looks like you have to go through a menswear SA in a M&B to get it, but kind of cool.

Just been in to Rushton's and still quite a few Crocketts left though mostly size 10+. I counted nine pairs of C&J Handgrade Chelsea's in black calf on the 318 last, 5x11E, 3x11.5E and 1x12E, a bit of a feast for guys with bigger feet. Also a very nice wholecut in brown, again on the 318, 1x10.5E, 1x11E and 3x11.5E. All at £299, lots of other shoes too. I've finished my buying but will ask for a full stock list if there's any interest.
