I wa at Barney's in SF yesterday, they have a bunch of Isaia stuff marked way down. New suits were about 1300. I went to Neiman Marcus too, no real serious sales to be seen.

Please elaborate...

I don't want to put words in Ich's mouth, but I think he's trying to say that the terrible looking shoes are on discount because they look terrible.

Visited a Wal-Mart after food and booze shopping this morning. It wasn't unpleasant but the men's clothing section had only Wranglers, Carhartt, and cheap sports gear.

I was hoping to see the Harris Tweeds after watching that video.

Is there a pic of the different tweeds - at $75 I would just buy them and have them tailored.

I don't think you'll be disappointed at that price. Regarding size, I went down and was wearing a dress shirt and merino wool v-neck sweater. And it looked good to me. Sleeve length, jacket length, chest - it was a nice fit requiring no alterations and I'm normally a 42R in just about everything. I suppose if you want to wear chunky sweaters underneath, then you may want to stay true to size.
Do let me know if you see any of the ones with the rainbow windowpane in 40R.

No luck in So Cal "we no sell suits meester". Sorry I couldn't help out.

^ this guy isn't cheap. It'll cost you in the ballpark of a mojito pitcher with only the best tequila. Still may be worth it since there is so much history here

AZ too warm for tweed, no?

Not sure about those tweeds.

Waist and blades are probably really generous, and the quarters are very closed. You'd be looking at about $100-$175 in tailoring. And no guarantees it will turn out well.

Is this jacket really worth getting just for the Harris Tweed badged fabric?

It might fit bigger guys well.
