It was. I was rooting for TCU but I'm impressed with Baylor's grit. I'm thinking they end up in the playoffs this year.
Really impressed with Mississippi State too, even though once again I was on the other side. Auburn shot themselves in the foot over and over again but credit goes to Miss. St. for making them pay for it over and over again. I've been really impressed with the two games I've seen from this team and they may be the class of the SEC this year. I can't imagine many people were expecting this from them.

MSU has now beaten three top 10 teams in a row. Is there any other team that currently has a better argument for #1?

One could make an argument for either Mississippi team IMO to be #1. Technically Mississippi State beat 3 top 10 teams in a row, but one of the 3 (LSU) is now unranked and was only ranked as highly as it was based on history and another was easily handled by Ole Miss (A&M, no longer top 10 but still the same team). Mississippi State took down Auburn at home and Ole Miss took down Alabama at home. Not saying I would take Ole Miss over Mississippi State, but one can make the argument.
