Store has nowhere near the same range as the website. And sizes are usually available in store but not guaranteed.

The Exclusive 'construct' range is only available online via the website (except for the recent colourful construct stow boots they came out with that are available in store also)
The Jermyn Street store does stock some of the construct range and they unusually have one or two store exclusive builds. Most sizes are available there and I have seldom, if ever, been disappointed by a lack of availability.

The Herring collabs look pretty cool, but unfortunately cost the same as anything full price from the regular collection (€643 for a pair of Bourton's and €677 for the Stow's). The Navy CXL and Fudge Chamois (whatever that is) look great though.

After needing to return the Evedon's I couldn't resist and ordered a pair of Ridge Reverse Suede shoes from the Factory Shop instead. The problem with Tricker's is I like so many of them.

Are these part of the earlier release of the kudu range? I love the character in the leather. I bought much more recent ones and the characteristic kudu scars are non-existent. I assumed Tricker’s became more picky about which hides to use due to customer feedback/returns.
Trickers is not picky about kudu scarring and sees it part of the leather's character, as you'll know. Which is why they love using it because its very forgiving in terms of production. And rejection/QC failure rates owed to leather appearance/aesthetics becomes easier to manage with kudu.

I believe its just pot luck what pair you end up with aesthetically. I got some pairs that have these natural marks and scars. Other pairs i have with nothing on them which are flat/monotone.

In all, kudu is very comfortable as you've mentioned before Fenners.

Yeah I think I was just a bit unlucky. Still love them though.

Since we're talking colors on the Pembroke's, what do you use on your Acorn's? They still look so new/fresh, not faded. Also they appear to fit you really well.

I've got mine 2nd hand (as new) earlier this year and it's my most worn boot. Looking forward to putting them on again this fall.

I use Saphir 'Crème Surfine Fawn 019' when I want to refresh the colour a bit. It's a lighter cream and doesn't nourish the leather like the thicker 1925 creams or the ones from Boot Black do.
It's a perfect match, see #22,564

Otherwise I use neutral cream. But yes, this is a seldom worn one, I also have an Acorn Stow with the Dainite sole.

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)
