I'm trying to figure out my sizing for some Henry or Stephen boots, but the only reference I have are my Converse: 41.5EU/8UK/8US. Is there anybody with the same Converse size who could look up what size of those Tricker's they have?

I take UK7.5 for most my formal shoes from C&J, Church, Barker, etc.

For Trickers Stow, a UK7 (4497 last) fits great.

I have heard that it's best to size down half a UK size for Henry (4444) copared to 4497 but I have not tried one on. The volume is greater mid foot, but the length is about the same between the two lasts if I remember correctly.

Be aware that many manufacturers consider EU 41.5 to be a UK 7.5, not a UK 8 as per your converse sizing.

If anyone is looking for Tricker's shell, the Faust Store in Norway has some Teak/Tec boots and Cotto/Orange and Burgundy PTBs in stock. All selling for £390 and free shipping for most. Not sure what they are doing about VAT deduction for non-EU countries -- price was the same for me whether shipping to UK or US. Shop through their Facebook page, because the website is a WIP: https://www.facebook.com/fauststore/shop?rid=1062101217158577&rt=6

Looking good!

Have you ever got those cordovan boots wet?

I fancy owning a pair, but I have heard that they don't like water very much.

Thank you sir

They do look amazing, except when it rains as they indeed don't like that treatment as blisters appear on the leather surface (same goes for all my Tricker's in cordovan).

The good news is, when dried (at least) overnight the leather can easily be treated with Famaco cordovan cream and it's almost instantly like new
