Has anyone followed up on the Superdenim shell preorder? I can't remember when they are supposed to come.

I emailed a few weeks ago and they said early October

Friends of the Cipresso Roundtable, we have confirmation that the punchcap toe boot (without pinking) can indeed be made on 81 last with cipresso shell. All we need is just another participant.

wklq76a, could you float the mto on reddit to see if one more person catches on?

81 is snugger than 4497 but I take the same size.

Just saw this on the ShoeHealer site. It's from Barker, but modifying the Trickers Stow to look like this would be awesome; wing tip with no medallion. Might look into this in Cotto cordovan for the future

I could probably be talked into shell, but I don't think shell looks particularly better and I'm not too fond of all the maintenance for what I want to be a casual shoe.

there is less maintenance with shell. basically you just wipe off dirt and brush for 30 secs. venetian twice a year. simple


and shell is actually more work wear than calf.

^ I think calf is much easier to take care of and is less susceptible to spotting. One clear advantage of shell over calf is the relatively little time it takes to get a nice shine. But in all other things I find that shell requires more care. (Of course Alden is the expection but they are tricksters)

As far as appearance goes, shell has far more depth of color than calf. And I prefer it to calf still chenm4016 brings up good points
