I actually think that double breaster is reasonable for NYC. But those suspenders with the contrast collar were a bit too much for my taste. My girlfriend disagreed quite vehemantly however, asserting that red suspenders were the height of style.

Deadwood much?

I see the Wall Street comparison in the second pic, but I just don't see the Deadwood comparison. The first looks like a reefer and the second is a double-breasted waistcoat, there is virtually no similarity other than the fact that both are double-breasted and have brass buttons...

I could be wrong, but I think he was referring to the use of "uni" instead of "university" (not instead of "school" or "college"). And I agree with him; "uni" is silly. You're going to a university.

I guess you didn't get the memo that the DB is now making a comeback according to those fashion magazines and the racks at retail clothing stores.

Those aren't Deadwood or the 70's, in the least bit.

Both are quite good, actually. The tie knot on the latter could be a bit smaller though. I think Bass has worn far more outlandish things in the past.

This is far more '70s, or maybe late '60s.

Well, one more day and we will find out if they have gone all out of ideas with the preppy

When that's said, C. Bass has dressed more and more grown up as the seasons went. In late season 2 he dressed like his dad, more or less. Most because he took over the company, so he's excused. I actually liked the outfit with the suspenders.
