I dont think the NG 85 had these much hype during its release?

Neutral Grey had more IMO - pseudo retro (technically should have been Natural Grey) that had never released before. There was no staggered release (Europe & Asia got these last month I think) and resell was also much higher initially.

My failed attempts at hitting on the Georgetown 1's



I knew I would strikeout for retail. So I made a deal earlier in the week with my local resale shop for a pair in my size. I traded a pair of shoes and added some cash on top.

are you referring to the stitching across the swoosh? I've seen worse lol

i've had more than one pair of 1s where there ended up being a gap between the swoosh and that lower heel panel (e.g. on a pair of banneds i had, you could see the black leather through the two sections of red leather)

by far the ugliest qc issue i've seen

Definitely needs breaking in…first full day of wear and the tops and sides of my toes are chafed

I think it's Kapital century denim, not sure the particular wash though. Either way it looks to be sashiko stitching. Other Japanese brands make sashiko denim and Epaulet made a bunch of sashiko stuff.

i dont have GT 85. But the one on my mocha and 85 NG are perfect.

Sometimes you have to stop nitpicking and enjoy the shoes, my friend. I'm not buying Nike shoes for their quality. Every release has QC issues of some sort. I have two more pairs inbound. I'll let you know how they look whenever they touchdown.
