They can't cut CJ at this point. The salary cap hit would be too big.

total jackass. he is not going to get a contract extension this offseason. no matter how talented he is, I'm willing to bet he's worn out his welcome in Philly
speaking of wastes of talent, when are the Titans going to cut Chris Johnson already? if I were Matt Forte or another RB playing for a contract I would take a baseball bat to his knees...his existence is a huge setback for any nfl player that would like to be rewarded for their hard work next year

Yeah, cutting CJ isn't an issue. This guy has been disgraceful though. If you're going to hold out, make sure you're worth it. Cause if you're not everyone will want their pound of flesh, and rightfully so.

Tough break for the Bears. We can go ahead and hand the NFC Championship to the Packers right now.

Speculation on the Bears forum is he could play with pins in his hands like Favre did.

Also, Caleb Hanie might turn out to be decent. Played well in the NFC game last year until the situation got desparate at the end (2 INT's).

You assume that the Bears could have got past the 'Niners.

Nope, just saying that the Bears are a tougher matchup for the Packers than the Niners are. I'm still not a believer in SF. I think tomorrow's game against the Ravens (and the subsequent game against the Steelers) will tell us a lot about the team.

I feel like the 9ers have to make a statement win every week for some recognition. Eagles, Lions, Giants. They have sucked for a long time so I guess I can't blame people but which game will finally cement them as legit?

How so? 9ers play the possession game better (which might be the only way to beat the Packers).
