Im slowly becoming a fan of Tebow. This is the first time I have watched him play an entire game and was incredibly impressed with his leadership and body language both on the field and on the sideline.

Well, Tebow does have a good arm.
I'd like to see what happens if people stop trying to teach him to have a "pro" throwing motion, DO teach him some better footwork, and make him study film for days at a time until he starts to learn how to read defenses better. Not saying he will make it but stranger things have happened.
He does have the ability to lead which is crucial in a QB. He also likes big moments which is also very important.

I really think a lot of his current throwing problems are caused by trying to change his whole motion before the draft. He could make all the routine throws while at Florida, stuff he struggles with now. He changed his mechanics, looked decent in camp, but it doesn't seem to be working at full speed just yet. I have this sneaking suspicion that he'll get a lot better as a passer. He's never going to be Drew Brees, but he'll be throwing for more than 100 yards a game if they give him a full camp and everything next year.

Tim Tebow = Vince Young 2.0 (with less talent)
Not nearly good enough to be a legit, or even semi-legit, NFL QB yet finds a way to win consistently as a rookie. He'll fade away quickly though, maybe not as spectacularly as Young, but he will.

Young's problems didn't stem from his physical abilities. There were the result of injuries, bad attitude, and questionable mental fortitude.

I've got a very long way to go before becoming a fan of Tebow.

Yes I do mean he can throw it hard and far. Not really the most important but still skills you don't mind having in a QB.

I don't mean to discount that talent, that is one of my knocks on Luck is that he doesn't have a strong arm, but Tebow desperately needs to work on his touch if he has any chance at being a NFL QB beyond this season.

You are letting yourself get to caught up in Tebow the person. He is a good leader and all that, but he is not a good quarterback. I think he can be a possible situational player in the long run but he is not a long term option as a starter. And everyone seems to be blowing his wins out of proportion. He beat a terrible Miami team, a Raiders team that has the worst run defense in the league and Palmer was still learning the offense, a crappy Chiefs and an extremely overrated Jets team that has a QB that is just as bad if not worse than Tebow. The on team they went against that is good and has a great pass rush, they got whooped. Plus all the games they have won it is because of their defense, the offense as been atrocious.

At this point, he doesn't have a good NFL arm at all. His power is average, his accuracy is terrible, and the number of throws he can make is severely limited. Most NFL backups have three times as many balls in their repertoire as Tebow does at the moment. He can't even throw a fade route to the back of the endzone.

Hats off to Tebow for winning games. I love the kid's attitude and I'd love to see him stick it to the haters. But there's a reason I'm extremely skeptical of it happening. He literally has NONE of the tools to be a good NFL QB besides leadership and a will to win and I highly doubt he can develop the hard skills he needs to go along with the intangibles.

I've never played QB, but wouldn't this be among the most challenging throws given the required touch, accuracy and timing?

It's something quite literally every QB coach makes you do 10,000 times during practice starting in middle school. It's hard to time it perfectly at 50 yards out, but Tebow can't even lead his receiver 30 yards out, which I did in HS.

It would be tough for you and I to throw but basically ever NFL QB has to be able to throw a fade in the red zone. Tebow never learned at Florida and now he has no touch.

total jackass. he is not going to get a contract extension this offseason. no matter how talented he is, I'm willing to bet he's worn out his welcome in Philly

speaking of wastes of talent, when are the Titans going to cut Chris Johnson already? if I were Matt Forte or another RB playing for a contract I would take a baseball bat to his knees...his existence is a huge setback for any nfl player that would like to be rewarded for their hard work next year
