New boots have very thin leather sole - advice?

I have some new Miu Miu boots which are made from goatskin and have a very thin leather sole. Will these wear through almost instantly? Would it be advisable to have a rubber sole put on straight away? Is this possible without spoiling the look?

Thanks, Tom.

It's not going to last very long. Getting a thin Topy glued on there might be a good idea to protect the investment, as they may not even be able to be resoled.

probably meant to go out of style before they wear out

just kidding, yes if you plan to wear them for years, you can put a topy on it immediately

yeah. i agree with the above. get a thin topy, and replace the topy every time you wear through the topy.

they have a nice look. agreed on the responces above but one other warning for those if live in an area where it snows, even slightly, try not to wear thme when inn the period in which it snows. The water will not damage them but witha sole that thin the leather of the boot willl come in direct contact with the salt that they put on the streets and that can damage them. you may get luck though.

I never wear good shoes out even with thick soles if i know there is salt on the streets and sidewalks(marciapiede ditemi si e giusto).

Thanks for the advice everyone, I'll get a Topy put on.

Tarmac :p, I don't think they'll ever go out of style they're just too cool! Plus they were the only size 9s in the Harrods sale at 40% off so I was very pleased with them!
