Hey - I'm seeking a modern variation on the class suit with no lapel. I attached a photo that I found online - the site had no mention of the designer or where to buy. I'd love to find this exact one but am open to anything nice. Thanks

Far from "Classic Menswear"; such a garment will find few if any friends here.

Looks like a western-inspired Mao Jacket

Fully collarless jackets strike me as slightly odd, probably because they feature more on women's suits. Mandarin collars can look good, though.

Here's an example from the '50s. Not that uncommon from the '30s through
the '50s. Saw them in films in that era. Always sport coats never suits. No
evidence of Asian influence, eg Nehru, or Mao. For some reason these traditional
Asian styles took the names of politicians.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
