I remember me mam letting down a pair of my jeans after a growth-spurt. Not only did the the jeans have the tell-tale white line creases, but the creases had worn through and had a stringy fray-hole at the back. To add insult to injury, everything below the crease was a bold indigo colour, and all the denim above was of a parfittesque hue.

Now I’m no grammarian, but are you referring to the Status Quo(and possibly the “Blue For You” photoshoot) with the phrase “parfittesque hue”?

I’m a fan of the DM shoe w/hemmed jeans look, pretty classic, no highwaters though. The hem just clearing the shoe. Nice and neat

Woah! Triple denim.

Status Quo is one of those bands that I know exist but never really bothered to check them out. Did I miss anything?

It depends if you dig guitar-driven rock and roll. Hello!, Quo, and Blue for You/self-titled rule. Heavy boogie rock.

They're grebos. If you like to manically 'headbang' with your thumbs in your pockets then go for it. You only need to hear the one song anyway, they all sound the same

Well this obviously isn’t the place for such discussion, but I am a fan of the band. There’s a lot more to them musically than “Caroline”.

I know this punk guy in London who's into the more refined end of 77 punk - Dead Boys, Thunders and whatnot. But he's also a big Status Quo fan and sometimes does the triple denim thing "just to piss everybody off".

I shall check out the albums you mentioned.
