So here's the deal. My briefcase has nickel hardware, my Seymours have brass buckles, my belt has a nickel buckle, and my cufflinks are silver. My next pair of trousers will have brass buckles on the side tabs. Is there some kind of rule or "proper way" to match the metals you're wearing, or is it something I shouldn't care about?

I just have a habit of buying things only with white metal, because I don't like the look of yellow metals especially against my skin. I do have some gold colored cufflinks that I wear occasionally, and some of my suspenders have yellow metal hardware, but the majority of stuff I have is white metal. Therefore, most of it just goes together. But if I got a nice briefcase that happened to have brass buckles or something, I wouldn't worry about it at all. This is one of those details that if it all matched, I would seriously worry about that person.

Metal's kind of bright, generally. It tends to stand out. For what it's worth, I believe in matching your metals. Now, wasn't that helpful?

Just make sure the bullet casings don't hide the shark's tooth on the leather choker.
