There must be a middle ground. Also the guy with the wide pants has some terrible looking shoes.
Agree on the shoes.

One of the things that I've learned is that for tall guys with skinny legs (I'm one), the slim fit trousers just look stupid and don't fit the silhouette I want. I bought a lot of slim fit trousers because everyone was doing it. I'm transitioning them out.

After being on this site, reading other CM content on the web and understanding the shape of my body and the silhouette that looks good on me, wide leg, high-waisted pants are the right fit for me.

Gary Cooper's silhouette is what I like. Some folks might argue that it's a dated look - so be it.

Yup. Omar was cooler than cool and I admire him but he was much more evenly proportioned than I am.

To be very clear, I don't look like GC either, but my shape is similar - short torso, long legs. Might as well model oneself on someone who figured it out.

Omar’s best movie - by far - was ‘Top Secret’.

has anybody here tried David Reeves bespoke? I saw that he offers what is essentially beginner bespoke for $4K which skips the basted fitting. Am wondering how the results came out with that option.

I don’t know enough details about the physiques of stars to say whose matches mine best. I do know that the only footprints on the Hollywood Walk of Fame which fit mine were Darth Vader’s.

I think db pinstripe suit can be worn casually a la husbands paris with pair of boots and some turtleneck or casual shirt. Obviously this look is not for everyone.
By the way I have this jacket but as blazer and it is one of my favourite.
