Some new arrivals here from Luxire, plus one back from the tailor after minor alterations.

Trousers in Dugdale Fine Worsted - Duck Egg Blue Plain:

1000

My photo here is a little washed out. In reality the colour is darker than this but lighter than the photo on Luxire's website. These are a fantastic and comfortable lightweight wool for warm weather.

Shirt in Khaki Red Tattersall Linen + White Twill Pants:

1000

I love the shirt, but I am particularly pleased with the pants as this is the highly elusive Opaque White Trouser. At Ashish's recommendation they are lined in a lightweight cotton for comfort and opacity.

Luxire Wool Overcoat in Grey Plaid Wool:

1000

Nicely made and lined. Incredibly warm and heavy wool flannel.

And just for fun, introducing the Luxire Overcoat Suit:

1000

What happened was some time ago I had the pants made, and since they were so damn warm I figured the material would make a good coat. (OK, so maybe I wouldn't actually wear these pieces together. But I could totally pull it off because I roll hard couture.)

That khaki red tattersall linen looks so much better on you in person than it does on the website. Maybe due to the black tailor bust...

After the linen brown gingham

was sold out I was suggested your fabric but instead opted for this one

Seeing yours now makes me question my decision :/

RE: overcoat. I feel like those sleeves could see some slimming. Personally I'd prefer the width of the buttons or the overlap of the closure to be less wide. Wear in good health.

Make a jacket and a vest in the same material and you'll have a 4-piece suit!

Starting my linen cotton collection and I can't decide between a button down or NOBD II collar. Shirts will mainly be be worn casually untucked with shorts/jeans. Any thoughts?

100% personal preference. I don't like button down under any circumstance. I just had a linen done with NOBD I collar and it looks great.

Also not a fan of button-down collars, particularly for linen which I wear in summer with an almost pajama-like casualness.

So between your choices, NOBD II, recognizing that not everyone is man enough for the CruzCollar

Considering ordering chinos tonight, getting 20% off (one of the new fabrics) and I'm a bit curious of construction and choices regarding chinos etc.

Front pockets - is "on seam" the "standard" choice for trousers?

Secondly - lining: thinking of getting the Stone Twill Chino (link below); should I get no lining/front lined til knee/front lined til knee?

I personally prefer slant pockets as they're less likely to gape open. Though seam pockets may be better on pleated pants.
Seam vs. Slant is commonly debated/discussed. See http://www.styleforum.net/t/135357/i-hate-on-seam-pockets for an example.

I think Luxire mentioned that lining isn't 'standard' on their cotton trousers but that it's an option for those who prefer it.

I'm not familiar with the new shipping options. I'm in the states and I can pick Free Standard Shipping or $15 USA Shipping. Is $15 shipping supposed to avoid customs charges? If so, has anyone experienced customs charges in the US? Not sure which I would pick for a $220 order.

Going to give the NOBD II a trial run with this fabric.

Also ordering these to round out my OCBD collection. Already have classic blue, but the shirt is too tight for me now.

Anyone order the blue seersucker dress stripes yet? Mine is on the way.

I ordered the swatch for the third time. I keep getting a different multi-colour seersucker. But this time, I'm sure they'll get it right. Hi @luxire. :)

Looking forward to seeing pics of your shirt, MrJ.

Luxire got me the correct swatch after 2 tries. I'm sure the shirt will be the right fabric. I'm incredibly excited!

Just order it, it's a great feeling swatch! There's a shirt on their site made from this fabric with what looks to be a fused NOBD1 collar. Ick.

I did it right though, no worries!

Has anyone adjusted the default front pant pockets? I want to add a little more depth but I also want to change the angle of the side that your pinky is against when you put your hands in your pockets. I've had so many things fall out of my Luxire pants while sitting, yet things never fall out of my other pant pockets. Comparing them side by side I realized that Luxire pockets have a "steeper" angle on the inside of the pocket that apparently causes things to slide down the side of the pocket and out easier. Anyone else had this issue and fixed it? Wondering how exactly to relay what I want to Luxire.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I might get another pair of selvedge denim before I go for the chinos as I could use some swatches of the potential chinos I'm getting.

How is delivery times at the moment, still about 4 weeks for pants?
