Discovering Luxire in 2013 has transformed and influenced my casual wardrobe in more ways than words can describe. So here's a picture of what you get for as little as $1000 total.

Every time a new Luxire package arrives a new order is placed. I believe Chrystal Meth is easier to drop than these chinos. Another pair of chinos and a shirt are coming way.

By the way how do you pronounce @luxire ? When referring your services to German friends of mine I've heard the funniest pronunciations. I myself pronounce it by swallowing the 'ious' in 'luxurious'. I might need some phonetics

Very very nice spread you've got there. Just have a few quick questions. Can you comment on how you like the jeans? I have weird proportions, and am thinking about a pair. Also, what are the bronze chinos like? I am thinking of getting a pair for very casual use.

One thing to be aware of re Chinos is that Luxire told me they sometimes have to swap fabrics around if they go out of stock.

Ie I received a swatch of the Ecru twill chino, ordered a pair of pants, and then the pants came in a fabric that was not made out of the same fabric as the swatch that I had received.

They do this because they get fabrics in limited quantities to keep prices down I think. So they would keep the same "Ecru Twill Chino" name on site, but then use a slightly different fabric from the original.

So if you receive swatches and then wait some months to place an order, it might pay to double check that you're getting what you expect.

Here's my first shirt. Collar is the English spread with 3.5" collar points, lightly line, unfused. Obviously, way too short. Planning to add 2.5" on my next one. Anything else glaring? I'm thinking of taking in the shoulders 0.25" on each side and extending the sleeves 0.5". Also thinking about taking in the sleeves about 0.5" around the bicep and wrist. Thoughts? (sorry, I can't figure out how to put pics in "Spoilers")

I'm not an expert, but it looks like a front dart, which I've read someone (maybe Despos?) say is needed/used to get the right fit for a big butt and small waist.
i just noticed the pants i sent in to have replicated have these darts, i never noticed.

something to note for others, that luxire is so detailed, they will take small things like that from your replicated pants and make sure the ordered pants have the same details

Sometimes I hate reading this thread when I'm waiting for some new orders to ship. It's too easy to get jealous of guys getting their stuff turned around in a week! I'm at around 10 days right now for some shirts and a pair of pants based on previous orders with minimal changes and still waiting for the shipping notification. Normally I would think that's normal but it's always hard not to wonder why some orders are turned around so much quicker than others.

Also, I'm still waiting to hear back on my shoe order. It's been just over a week since I submitted my measurements and I haven't heard back yet about picking the rest of the options, color, and other details. And my PayPal account was charged for the shoes already, but there's no way any construction of the shoes could have possibly started yet.

Hi all. First, please accept my apologies if you've seen this message already. When I posted this message a few days ago (my first message ever) I didn't know what I was doing and posted it into the wrong forum. I couldn't figure out a way to move it to here, so I am reposting the gist of the message. Here goes...

I'm reluctant to post this message publicly but am doing so because I don't know what else to do. I ordered some pants made late last year, and was delighted by the close attention the Luxire folks paid to the order. In fact, in December they sent a "demo" pair for me to try on and suggest further tweaks to fit, etc. I was asked to send photos of me wearing the pants, which I did in mid January.

I received an acknowledgement that the photos were received, and that I'd soon receive a further reply (to feedback about the proposed tweaks to the pants, and questions about what happens next) I actually never received a reply. I sent followup emails late January, and again early February inquiring about the status of the pants. Then I sent a PM to Luxire on (sorry) another online forum, and then sent a message to Luxire customer service using the form on their website. And in response to each of these attempts at obtaining information, I've received.....nothing.

My experience does not remotely square with anyone else's experience here, so I am completely at a loss about what to do next. I am really wanting to be a repeat customer, but as of now I'm both baffled and annoyed, and I'm hoping that someone from Luxire will see this post and help me out as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Hi M,
I publicly acknowledge that we have failed you. We see it marked and flagged as highest priority RED in the system awaiting action but needs action by only one person with he help of another. Both have not been able to come together sadly. Still communication should have been more prudent.

My sincere apologies to you and will personally bring the 2 people together to get them work on it and reply. You will receive a reply today.

Had saved this seersucker for March as the quantity is small and may not make it to spring.

It is a very nice fabric. Will make a good casual shirt but will not look out of place at work as well.

Sorry if this has been answered already, but how can seersucker be a medium weight? How "light" is it actually, and what does this mean for how the fabric wears?

I hear you. My first two orders were quick. Two weeks or less from order to receipt. My current order is a single shirt with alternations to the pattern. I'm a month in without shipping. I think that is a completely reasonable time delay to alter a pattern and make a shirt, but reading the thread does nothing to stave off my anxiousness.

Most twills work dressed up with a jacket if the trousers are finished in a clean design and are creased.

I need several pairs of 'dressy' chinos, can you/ anybody help with what options I should be looking at/ specifying?

- I already have several perfectly fitting casual cotton chinos
- Would you use your suit/ business/ woolen pants for the sizing (and style for that matter), or just any nicely fitting chino/pant?
- Would I need to specify a crease?

Appreciate any ideas

I believe NOBD ordered that swatch twice and I ordered it once and it's been the wrong one each time. Trying to get my hands on it.

Sleeves are too short IMO.

I would ask Theresa for changes to the fit. What I would do is add to the overall length, it least one inch.

I have a second question for any of you guys living in Europe (France? Switzerland?):

Do any of you have to pay VAT/Duty fees when receiving the Luxire package? I ask because I'm actually from Switzerland and have been living in the USA for a couple months. I've ordered a couple shirts in the USA and was delighted to learn that we don't get hit by any additional taxes/import fees, and I'm hoping it will remain the case when i move back to Switzerland :). If that's not the case i just might have to order as many shirts as i can before moving back.

I have ordered to Germany and Switzerland. Germany was hit and miss, sometimes got hit with import duties sometimes not.

So far I have had three orders delivered to Switzerland, all went through without getting hit. I never ordered more than three items at once, though.

Hope that helps.
