Hey y'all! Inspired by the soft launch of Lost Monarch, I decided to make a thread for it. While I don't have my pair yet, I was able to try on the prototype chino during a trip to SF and again shortly after. Here it is!

As you can see the fit is pretty contemporary for a high rise chino, so you it's not overly vintage or workwear. The camel is a nice color which makes it versatile for tailored separates or casual wear. The rise is an excellent length, as I've wanted a high rise-slim chino for a long time.

Here it is with my camoshita suit jacket. It has a bit of a high button stance hence the small gap between the buttoning point and the end of the rise. Fabric is from Japan, Italian horn buttons, and made in LA. I don't have much experience with chinos outside of J. Crew/BR or vintage ones, but I really like these. They feel like they can take a lot of wear and tbh, it's hard to find an everyday high rise chino like this. Long length too, so you can roll or add a turn up at the tailor.

I didn't try the denim, but I'm sure the silhouette is similar. Can't wait until they ship!

Thanks for the pics @SprezzaTrash! Glad the prototypes fit you so well.

For further context, Lost Monarch is a project a few friends and I have been working on over the past year, trying to create some refined casual clothing that is easy to dress up or down. If you want more info, you can see all of our current preorders and interest checks at lostmonarch.com. Happy to answer any questions!

Those are way too snug/slim in the thigh, particularly for the higher rise.

To each his own. They remind me of the very popular cut of the RRL Officers Chino's in the leg. The slightly higher rise also gives it an updated look. Very impressed.

Just perusing the website, and the items so far look real promising. Will probably have to give them a try, and look forward to seeing where the line goes from here...

Especially intrigued by the denim, I've been on the hunt for a pair to match with a sport coat at times, and these might be the answer.
