Loro Piana make very good cashmere, im not sure what cloth Zegna use, I have a couple of LP jumpers that have lasted for ever with no problems atall.

They are pricey but worth it.

BC doesn't make jacketing cloth -- i.e., lengths of cloth out of which one has a sports coat made.

I would not use Loro Piana cloth to have garments made. Try Johnstons, Drapers, or Harrisons of Edinburgh.

Often confused --

Jacketing = cloth used to make jackets
Coating = cloth used to make (over?)coats
Suiting = cloth used to make suits
Shirting = cloth used to make shirts

Nevertheless, out of pretension, some retailers add the "-ing" suffix to their ready-made clothing in order to sound more formal/British/whatever.

Why no LP for garments? There was a magnificent LP cashmere for the boys HF His First line last year that they used for Coats as well as Jackets (although the coat fabrics were less soft that then blazers).

HF does use some spectacular LP materials, especially the Coarsehair. I sold a sportcoat in that material and if I can find some more, will probably have one made. It was phenomenal stuff. Light weight and warm, scratchy and soft.

Honestly, for me it would come down to weights and patterns. I think either would be fine.

Loro Piana is nicer. They are particularly good at getting an extra decadent finish. That said, I prefer the less delicate Harrisons for most applications.

Loro Piana and Zegna both make relatively nice (although the ones generally seen are a bit delicate) fabric for sportscoats. However, if you were intending to stay with the Italians, I would suggest Guabello instead. Drapers also has good stuff, and although being an Italian company, most of thier stuff is English. They had a worsted cashmere that was at least as good as Harrisons' Millionaire, but I believe would be more durable.

At Drapers (it was really difficult to limit myself to only a few pieces)

RJ's suggestion of Johnstons is good, but they have a rather limited selection.

I concur with T4's Draperophilia. The coat I had made at Chat-bite was in Drapers cashmere.
