Are loakes longer shoes AND wider? I'm using a Size 9 Loake tree in an AE 9.5 and it won't go in as far. Kind of have to push it in there. It looks like it stretched the leather a slight bit wider as well.

It's a good thread. I'm not worried about it considering how many new posts are made every day on here. I'd rather bring back a meaningful old one.

Still looking for an answer. From my observation it looks like my Loake is longer and wider as a 9 than my ae 9.5s.

It depends on the Loake shoe, there are over 40 lasts that Loake use and it would be incorrect to say that they are all bigger than another brands shoes. For example 025 last is small fitting, where as 026 is fractionally generous. They fit completely different.

You really have to judge these things by a last by last comparison not brand, it simply doesnt work that way.

I think the Loake UK9 shoes tree (no last specific) would need at least an AE US10 shoe
